Sometimes relationships with vendors (that includes staffing agencies) don't work out the way you like.
When you're counting on someone to provide so much, having them fall far short is enough to make you pick the phone up and give them the old "what for". (I was going to go for something more offensive, but after all, this is a PG blog.)
Stop! Do not pass Go, Do not collect $200.
The recent issue of iMedia has an interesting article on ending business relationships graciously.
The first caveat?
Lesson #1: The interactive space is one where people jump around from company to company on a regular basis.
Which means you could be calling a new company for help only to find you're dealing with the rep you let have it 6-mos. ago at the old company.
Insert frownie face.
The lesson, no matter how hard it may be, don't burn your bridges when it comes to important business relationships.
But don't just take it from me, read the whole article here from Sean Cheyney, VP of Marketing and Business Development for AccuQuote.

tell me about it. like being to lazy and not follow up, even do the staffing agency lives on connecting creatives with studios/firms who pays them to do the job.
reminds you of anyone, Aquent.
Hi, akrok. Not quite sure where your comment is going, but I'm guessing (by the information I can see on our side) that you had a phone interview here with someone and you hadn't heard back. Which would make your anger understandable. But what I'm not quite sure about, is why you would express your anger here instead of sending me and email or picking up the phone and calling. Maybe its because you believe it'd do you no good.
I think you may be confusing laziness with being inundated, which is part of the picture you may not be seeing.
In the last 7 days, at Aquent LA alone, 228 NEW people applied to work through us. There are 20 of us working here and we try to get to every one of those people within a few days. And also try to serve our client base (both working/non-working Aquent Talent and clients) consistently.
I'll be sending you an email shortly to follow up with you, but I do want you to understand a more accurate picture of what the daily life looks like on our side.
Have a good week.
