When was the last time you took everything that is beloved and precious to you on your computer and backed it up onto a CD or external hard drive?
I'd been asking myself that very same question today from 1 to 4 o'clock. The same time all my e-mail user information mysteriously disappeared into a black hole. (That would be some e-mails dating back 7 years. 1.6 gigs of information.)
Was it in November?

Bruce in our EIS Department was good enough to figure out the mystery and get everything running smoothly again.
He will be glad to hear everything on this computer is officially backed up on a Lacie Hard Drive.

If I could convince one person to back up their computer, just one, then I will feel like I've done some good work today.
And not feel so bad for eating all that chocolate by our printer.
Ah god, this is always "one of those things you should do" that hardly anyone does... I've been archiving stuff onto DVDs, but definitely not frequently enough. Thanks for the reminder. I guess I should get a box of high-fiber cereal while I'm at it...
