Bungler King?

gotta.jpg

I'm not exactly the Grammar Police here (just ask any of the Proofreaders who read my blog), but isn't "Gotta" slang for "Got to" (i.e., "She's Gotta Have It" and "Something's Gotta Give")?

So why is BK telling me, "Got to buck"?

Buck what? My intense aversion to Whoppers?

(Thanks to Matt&Katie for spotting this too. And taking a picture, of course

In certain slang vocab. "gotta" also means "have" Do you gotta pen?" So probably the area that they put this billboard, this is a common slang term.

You're probably right, Maria - and I did ask around to see if I was crazy. And everyone had been looking at the billboard thinking the same thing. So maybe it works just some of the time? Aw, let's face it, if BK is using a slang phrase, then they've just killed it.
