Set the Way Back Machine to Junior High

When you think of the nightly news in Omaha, you probably imagine a farmer in overalls talking about the frozen pork bellies, Lorsban insecticide, and the weather. Which is not quite on the mark. The anchors in Omaha no worse than the anchors are here in Los Angeles (and, in many cases, quite a bit better... I'm sure you know who I'm talking about).

But who you probably didn't expect to be anchoring the 10 o'clock news in Omaha, however, is that really annoying guy in junior high who believed everything he said was funny, despite the fact no one else was laughing.

My brother made me watch this newscaster when I was back in Nebraska, because he is just so amazingly unfunny. True enough,I couldn't take my eyes off him. I sat there hoping that he would come to his senses and jump out of a window to spare us all. But it never happened. He just went on with his very long and very unfunny "bits" punctuated with his mugging for the camera.

Before you tell me this can't possibly be true, take a look at this much-too-long skit he did on the news recently. In it he manages to insult everyone from minimum wage fast food workers to Spanish speakers and Middle Easterners.

Thankfully, this guy is compiling all his bits on YouTube.

It'll probably make the libel cases against him that much easier to settle in court.

I'm ashamed to say, I laughed while watching this clip. I'm so ashamed.

Matt - Oh, Matt. Olivia just said the same thing. Perhaps it's just me.
