Am I out of the loop or are they?
By the way, according to the site "this is the ONLY official Hustle Club in the Puget Sound region. In case you were wondering.
Don't be fooled by imitators, especially when dealing with such a widespread dance craze.

It all depends on which loop you’re in. There are clubs much closer to home than Seattle, such as the The Hustle Club at Sunnyvale which is a “nonprofit organization dedicated to disco dancing all night, every night. Is it a hobby? an avocation? a mission? a crusade? a way of life? Who cares? Let's dance… To support their philosophy, they enlist quotations from Abraham Lincoln and Zippy. Visit them at http://www.rahul.net/dhesi/hustle/
And what drives this loop? Dance lessons! Yes, you too can learn all those great dances that you always see people doing at the hottest clubs: the tango, cha-cha, rumba, and, of course, the hustle. If you ever go out dancing, you will instantly recognize these folks, not only because of their self-confidence as they wend their way around the floor, but also due to their archaic, purposeful movements, which are unlike anyone else in the room---except those two couples over there, who apparently have attended similar classes. They’ve altered the venerable saying to read, “Dance Like Everyone’s Looking and you can join them. Just take a gander at

Jack, wow, you may be in the loop. Re: http://www.rahul.net/dhesi/hustle/, are those people dancing in a shoe warehouse or is it just my imagination? Yes, dance lessons could bring in some good money, but if you could sell everyone shoes, too... Now that is pure genius.
I think "Dance Like Everyone's Looking" is the sober person's mantra. I'm just judging from the recent pictures of people dancing at an Aquent event. Not only did those folks not notice that everyone is watching, they failed to figure out everyone taking pictures would soon be putting them up on the Internet.
And wasn't Sunnyvale where Buffy lived?
Yeah, I think Jack (if that's his real name...hee!) is right. Appears that the Seattle Hustle Club is run by a guy who has his own DJing business. He's probably trying to create a market (think about theme parties). It's not a bad idea but he should take pictures that have more than 3 people in them. To each his/her own. I think Tim wants us to talk about some LA weirdness.
Heather, I'm always up for some LA weirdness, you know. But I really think to get some Seattle weirdness going that guy is going to have to round up more than 3 people at his Disco Club, don't you think?
Yes, at least 3 more people! I wonder how many people are needed to officially qualify as a "club" ; )
Heather, true enough. I think 6 people for a Club, 5 or under for a Sad Club.
